Section 447 Indian Penal Code

Section 447 of the Indian Penal Code 1860 is about Punishment for criminal trespass. It is under ‘Of Criminal Trespass’ of CHAPTER XVII (OF OFFENCES AGAINST PROPERTY) of the Code.

 Punishment for criminal trespass

Whoever commits criminal trespass shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees, or with both.
