Section 393 Indian Penal Code

Section 393 of the Indian Penal Code 1860 is about Attempt to commit robbery. It is under ‘Of Robbery and Dacoity’ of CHAPTER XVII (OF OFFENCES AGAINST PROPERTY) of the Code.

Attempt to commit robbery

Whoever attempts to commit robbery shall be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.
